Original Jamaican issue. Sides reversed (Side One tracks play on POJ 0017 B). The sleeve is printed in Jamaica by United Printers Ltd. Photography, design and sleeve notes by Jackie Estick. ((Click sleeve to enlarge.))
Trinidadian calypsonian Mighty Killer recorded his only LP at Brentford Road during a visit to Jamaica in 1968, engineered by Sylvan Morris. The album features ten tracks of traditional calypso vocals backed by the full Studio One session band. All the tracks are very well recorded and are in full stereo. Two tracks (Cry Of The West Indies b/w Millie vs. Killer) were released on a Port O Jam 7" single in 1968. The reverse of the sleeve carries the Coxsone Records, 13 High Road, Willesden, address, so this album was presumably issued in the UK as well as Jamaica.
