Recorded in Jamaica and engineered by Sylvan Morris, it was released in the UK as part of the very collectable blue Coxsone label series, and issued in a laminated sleeve with stamped matrix numbers. The sleeve notes and photography are by Jackie Estick (the cover photo was taken at a dancehall in Ocho Rios; a photo from the same dance was also used for the cover of the Jamaican issue of SWING EASY). The UK edition of REGGAE TIME differs significantly from the Jamaican issues illustrated below, where I Don't Care is replaced by Games People Play on Side 1, and Just Once In My Life and Just Me are replaced by In Cold Blood and Too Experienced on Side 2. Tracks are in mono rather than split stereo.

Jamaican edition with revised track list in split stereo. Pressed at Federal Records Ltd. with hand-scribed matrix numbers but released in a UK laminated sleeve, including the UK track list (the correct titles are listed on the labels). Matrix numbers are reversed on this and all subsequent pressings, so that FCD 7966 B plays Side 1. The last two labels illustrated are both sides of the same record. ((Click sleeve to enlarge.))
