ONE THOUSAND YEARS AFTER
R & B blank label
Cuban Blockade (Don Drummond); Jet Stream (Don Drummond); Federal Special (Roland Alphonso & His Group); Eanie Meanie Minie Mo (Basil Gabbidon); Roll On Sweet Don (Don Drummond) ; Elevation Rock (Don Drummond) // Royal Flush (Don Drummond); Dr Decker (Baba Brooks with Don Drummond); The Shock (Don Drummond); Looking Through The Window (Don Drummond); Ally Pon (Don Drummond); Melancholy Baby (Don Drummond)
Here's an interesting rarity - a promotional pressing for Rita & Benny King's R & B label. Initial copies were exclusively given to regular sound system customers; very few (if any) were available commercially. The first run was issued in a plain sleeve with hand-wtitten credits. The picture cover is a two colour screenprint pasted onto a plain card sleeve, with the title lettering added afterwards. Dr Decker and Ally Pon are Treasure Isle productions.
Thanks to Joe Boast for the cover and label illustrations. ((Click sleeve to enlarge.))
