Winston Francis was born in Kingston, Jamaica in 1948, but moved to Miami, Florida when he was 16, where he attended music school. After performing with the Jackie Gleason Orchestra in Miami, Winston joined Carlos Malcolm's Afro Jamaican band with whom he toured the USA and the Caribbean, before ending up living in Miami for a time where he performed at the Fountainbleau Hotel. As a solo artist he recorded several singles at Studio One during 1968 (Mr Fix It) and 1969 (Same Old Song, Games People Play and Too Experienced) all of which are included on this, his debut album.
