CRUCIAL TIMES
Winston Jarrett (2003)

Studio One SOLP 2111

Born To Be Loved; Survival Is The Game (Swell Headed); Send Me Your Pillow; Easy Come Easy Go; Put On Weight; Crucial Times (A Fool); Girl Like You (Don't Fight It) // Peace And Harmony (Fattie Fattie); Fear Not (Rocking Time); Spanish Town (Tell Me Now); Top Ranking (Feel Like Jumping); Do You Hear I (Sun Is Shing); Up Park Camp (Get In The Groove); Scare Him

Winston Jarrett began recording at Studio One in the mid 60s as a member of The Righteous Flames (backing Alton Ellis). Some of the group's early tracks from this period (sans Alton) appear here (Easy Come Easy Go, Scare Him, Born To Be Loved), together with three titles Winston recorded as a solo artist (Send Me The Pillow, Up Park Camp, Fear Not). The album is augmented with contemporary vocal recordings over standard foundation rhythms (listed above in italics), together with some interesting new rhythms, presumably constructed especially for this release.
